Assistant Professor
The Assistant Professor will contribute to teaching, research, and academic development at the university. This role involves delivering lectures, mentoring students, conducting research, and actively participating in curriculum enhancement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the discipline.
- Prepare syllabi, assignments, and examinations aligned with academic objectives.
- Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate classroom discussions.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor students on academic progress, career paths, and research opportunities.
- Engage in research activities, publish scholarly work, and seek research funding.
- Participate in faculty meetings, departmental committees, and academic planning.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of course offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in the relevant field as per UGC requirements.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the university or college level.
- Strong research agenda with a record of scholarly publications.
- Excellent communication skills for teaching and academic collaborations.
- Ability to mentor students and contribute to institutional academic development.
- Experience in securing research grants and leading academic projects is an advantage.
