Who are we?

The office of International Affairs (OIA) leads and facilitates the global connections of MIT University of Meghalaya. The OIA is in charge of promoting the international visibility of the university and articulating the initiatives of international collaboration.

Mission and Objective

• At the Office of International Affairs, our mission is to foster purposeful international outreach initiatives and actions within the scope of internationalization in higher education.
• We aim to establish strategic partnerships with international higher education institutions, organizations, diplomatic missions, international schools and all other stakeholders.
• Our efforts are dedicated to maximize the global opportunities for students, faculty and staff members at MIT University of Meghalaya and position the university as the preferred higher education institution for national, international students and research.

International Student Scholarships and Financial Aid

We are proud to offer a variety of scholarships for international students to make studying at MITU Shillong more affordable. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, and you can apply automatically upon admission. International Students’ Scholarship

When you apply for MITU Shillong, you are automatically assessed for a scholarship. We offer multiyear scholarships up to the entire duration of the study program. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit.

English Language Support Program

Our certified and experienced language training faculty, with native fluency in English, help international students reach their language proficiency goals. The program ensures that you gain the necessary language skills for your academic success.

International Student Support

We provide specialized support for international students at MITU Shillong to help you settle in and adapt to life in India. Our support includes:

• Free airport collection
• A specialized Welcome Week program to help you settle in and make friends
• Guidance with FRRO registration
• A range of student-led societies to try out new activities
• Pastoral support and student-led activities through our university system
