MIT University, Meghalaya offers various scholarships, tuition fee waiver schemes, teaching and research assistance to meritorious, needy, and deserving students. The scholarships are instituted to recognize excellence in academics and sports, and support students from economically weaker sections. 1. U Jeebon Roy Mairom

This is a merit-based scholarship applicable to students who have secured top three positions in 12th standard in their respective boards (CBSE/ ISC/ State Boards) and students who have taken JEE (Mains). The scholarships are awarded depending upon the score secured in the examination.

2. Skendrowell Syiemlieh

This is a merit-cum-means scholarship applicable to students who have secured minimum 90% marks (PCM) or 80% marks (Arts/ Commerce) in 12th standard in the respective boards (CBSE/ ISC/ State Boards). The quantum of scholarship shall be determined based on annual income of parents.

3. U Tirot Sing Syiem

This is a sports scholarship applicable to students who have participated and won medal/s at national and international level.

This is a teaching assistance scheme applicable to students who have demonstrated excellent academic performance and are desirous of contributing to the university. The student is expected to contribute a specific number of hours per week and per month in assisting teaching and development activities of the university.
