The B.Sc in Film Making (Sound Design) at MIT University, Shillong, is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the critical role sound plays in film production. This program focuses on developing skills in sound design, sound editing, and the use of audio to enhance storytelling in film, television, and digital media.
Students will learn to create, record, and manipulate sound elements to create immersive soundscapes for film. The course includes hands-on training in sound recording, mixing, editing, and the use of industry-standard software and equipment for sound production in film.
Through practical experience and workshops, students will gain exposure to the process of sound design, from pre-production planning to final mixing, preparing them for careers in sound production, sound editing, and post-production.
