MIT University, Meghalaya offers a multidisciplinary undergraduate program, in the interest of exposing students to many different perspectives in and out of the classroom. The structure of the curriculum in all these programs follows the pattern of ‘Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)’ with courses offered under (a) core papers, (b) projects, (c) discipline specific electives, (d) generic electives, (e) ability enhancement, (f) skill enhancement and (g) co and extracurricular activities. The curriculum of all the programs focusses more on ‘learning by doing’ and therefore has embedded regular laboratory classes and the projects, as per the requirement. This is to ensure that students get plenty of time to try out various possibilities, to pursue extra-curricular and co-curricular interests, to discover passion, and perhaps to change the path of their lives.
