Overview
The MSW at MIT University, Shillong, is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of social work practices, social justice, and human rights. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to work with individuals, families, communities, and organizations to improve their well-being and address social issues.
The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with practical fieldwork, enabling students to engage with real-world challenges in the social work field. Students will be trained in counseling, social work practice, policy analysis, and advocacy, preparing them for roles in non-profits, government, healthcare, and community-based organizations.
Through internships, workshops, and field placements, students will develop practical skills to advocate for marginalized communities, manage social services, and design effective social policies.
